Well…..FINALLY…..FINALLY…..a democrat, in the wake of all of the post election caterwauling (bet you didn’t think I could apply THAT word, didja?), has identified EXACTLY why Hillary lost the election…..well, let’s say the key reason; in the end she was a lying criminal, everyone knew she was a lying criminal, and though she was present in a lot of roles, like Obama she has never really done shit.

In this article from the associated press, an organization that has long since been compromised by and or with the left, the author identifies correctly why Obamas’ presidency was bad for the nation, great for Obama and HORRIBLE for his party. The upshot? Since Obama has been President his party has taken a shellacking at EVERY SINGLE level, from state houses, thru governorships, into congress, and Obama is to blame.

The quote below goes EXACTLY to why Hillary, seen as Obama on steroids by the electorate was only appealing to California, long a hotbed of leftist utopia, and New York, equally as long a hotbed of anti-American sentiment in the midst of the American dream. So, we excise California and New York from the body politic, and I know a lot of people that would like to do just that, and Trump beat Hillary by three million popular votes……a number to which the left has clung to tenaciously as evidence that the Trump victory (which looks more and more like a landslide with each leftist effort to discredit it) is an aberration, an abomination and not representative of the nation as a whole.  And this has been explained to the left, and to the media (same thing), repeatedly; not only is this not the way the game is played (by the rules), but KNOWING this, Hillary played even THAT game poorly.  Same system that has worked since the founders wrote it down…..but because the left lost, and because Trump was the republican that won (as much of a republican as he is), the system is broken.

And be honest with yourself……if you are voting democrat you don’t know shit anyhow, haven’t read the Federalist Papers, know nothing of Constitutional Law (or law in general) and are just an uneducated, whiny, selfish shit…..so a discussion of the electoral college is probably beyond you….so you are not arguing Trumps illegitimacy from a position of intellectual strength.  But for the record…..the electoral college was NOT designed to protect slavery.  I suppose that if you have formed that opinion from whole cloth and need something to support it (I think that is the way the leftist decision process works), then you could connect the dots in your own mind…but that wasn’t the case.  And, also for the record, the 3/5ths compromise was not intended to preserve slavery either.  All of the great signatories realized that they were going to have to deal with slavery and make it go away and it was the south that insisted it be in a shooting war.  No, the electoral college was SPECIFICALLY designed to keep heavily populated states, like New York and California from imposing their will on the rest of the nation.  Now, the SOLUTION to getting what the democrats want out of this election is a constitutional amendment…..and they will never get it.  I suppose the Supreme Court can always put a liberal spin on Article II, like they did on Obamacare in declaring it a tax, but I don’t see that happening.

And that is the bottom line; Hillary didn’t win so something is wrong.  I would argue that something IS wrong…with California and New York.

Trump didn’t even campaign in California, a state so deeply in debt and so firmly in the leftist, globalist camp, that if it were its’ own country would be worse off than Venezuela.  He KNEW he was not going to win.  And Hillary, who was NEVER in any trouble in California, campaigned and spent heavily on a state that was safely hers.  The same in New York.  Trump sent a little time in the state, he IS after all a New Yorker, and the truth is that, outside of NY City, a city which is basically a welfare state under Deblasio.  If a few burroughs in NYC had swung the state could have been his because NYC and Albany are the huge blue suckholes of the state.  But he was never going to win and Hillary was never going to lose.

Yet, Hillary spent huge in two states that were never in question, never going to vote for Trump.  If EVERY SWINGING DICK in both states had voted for Hillary, she would have STILL lost in the EC……and THAT was what the EC was made to prevent, which is exactly what the nut sacks are protesting.  In THIS election they are perfectly comfortable in saying that yes, two states with VERY little in common with the other 48 should decide what, and who is best for all 50.  She played an established game, with established rules…..and did it badly, and lost.

And then, lost in Jill Steins’ recount.

And then, lost when the Constitution was upheld in the Electoral College.

And she will lose when Trump takes the oath of office in January.

For once, at the hands of the Clintons, the Clintons are the losers.

Lena Dunham is Trash and needs to be taken out

Lena Dunham is a piece of trash that needs to be thrown on the trash heap of our society, not even re-cycled, just done away with.  Now, I am a big fan of women, and not just attractive women….I have stated before that one of my favorite thinkers is Camille Paglia, a female lesbian that, thankfully, is keeping her own junk in this transgendered age.  I like Laura Ingraham and I have a few suspicions about her.  I love Ann Coulters books but she gives sucky interviews and I do not think she is that attractive.  But these women have something intelligent to offer society and the culture….Dunham, has nothing going for her.

Recently she has been quoted as feeling guilty that she has not had an abortion.  I have been clear that I am no fan of abortion, and believe we should remove that term from that action and simply call it murder, which it is.  And though I cannot get behind Dunham having an abortion, I think her existence and utterances make it clear that we would ALL have been better off if her MOTHER had felt the same sentiment when she was pregnant with Dunham.

And let’s be clear, Dunham is a media whore who makes money off of behavior most of us would have removed from our presence, and makes “films” most of us do not see.  In her book “Not that Kind of Girl” in which she proves that she is indeed THAT kind of girl Dunham writes about molesting her one year old sister and being sexually assaulted by an Oberlin College classmate, which resulted in controversy over the accuracy of her account and a case of mistaken identity when a former Oberlin College student named Barry (the pseudonym used for Dunham's alleged attacker in her book) consulted an attorney to ensure that he, who looked and dressed like the attacker Dunham described, sought legal advice to ensure that he was not identified as the attacker.  Dunham and her publisher apologized and subsequent printings of the book (why in the WORLD would there be more than one?).  That is publicist to cover the fact that Dunham made a false accusation of rape against an innocent that called her bluff.  If you recall, at the time one of her apologists claimed that even though the incident might not have been as described, it drew attention to a serious problem on college campuses.  Apparently that serious problem is having marginally talented, intellectually challenged trash walking around accusing innocent people of rape.

The sum total of her existence, even her public statements, don’t make a damned bit of sense and is an assault on decency. So, given that, and the fact that she is gross on top of it all, and would be unemployed in a normal society, even though I abhor abortion, I would be willing to make an exception in this case. Pro-abortion advocates always carp on the need for abortion to save the life of the mother or the child. The fact based truth is that, in this day and age, abortion is almost never needed to save either. But if Dunhams’ mother had been on her game, she could have saved us all from her daughter.

So, I would make an exception.

For all of Michelles’ arrogant loss of hope (which America terms hope), and the Obama scrounging for a “legacy” (because sometimes stealing your health care options, forcing you to piss with perverts, tanking the economy, contributing to the criminality and break down of law and order and national security, and giving the premier terrorist supporting nation in the world an atomic bomb just doesn’t push you into the pantheon of anti-American greats)…..I think that Wisconsin, a state which delivered a shocking election victory to the incoming President, has managed to find THE legacy for Obama. I mean, NOBOY of import could do what Obama did in this arena. Of all of the articles published in which Michelle bemoans the fact that the Trump Presidency has robbed her, Barrack and by extension the banana republic over which they have ruled, the author of the article has been very careful to NOT be specific about what hope Michelle no longer has.

But you see….I HAVE hope. Actually since I was one of the few that saw straight through Obamas’ bullshit, I have hope for the first time in a long time.

I have hope that the economy improves…..that we get the real numbers, that an increase I food stamp usage is no longer seen as a positive economic indicator, that two years of unemployment is about 18 months too much. I have hope that WORK returns to the lexicon of the normal individual, and that work becomes so prevalent that the much vaunted leftist social safety network actually becomes a social safety network.

I have hope that we get back on track in battling racism. The Obama agenda has coaxed racist blacks out of the darkness, shown them to be ungrateful for a free ride in a culture that bends over backwards for them, and made it nearly a requirement for them to live outside of white mans law (also known as civilization). I hope, for the sake of ALL America, black Americans will once again rejoin America itself, and reject the Obama era license to live in lawlessness.

I hope for a return to some modicum of intellectual maturity (not me, our nation). It is time we face the fact, never before legitimately disputed, that you may have your junk removed or added on, but you remain the sex you were born and should piss in the appropriate locker room. It would be nice to have your own, faith oriented business and not be forced to pay out of the ass or serve someone of a different faith who insists on making the difference THE issue. The same with sexual orientation. I hope we can recover a little decency an acknowledge that others are different, and not force by fiat them to some sort of ascendancy. On that note…..I HOPE that some day we can just quit pretending that abortion is anything but murder, and like Dredd Scott, Roe v. Wade was bad law. Unlike Dredd we are stuck with it, but quit pretending abortion is something it is not.

I hope for a return to language, and it having the meanings that we have known it to have for centuries, not what leftists would have it mean. The Josh Earnests’ of the world should have to say what they mean. “The President is evaluating his options”, is not the same as the fact that “the President isn’t going to do shit”. I hope for a return to a language of meaning, not one of euphemism.

I would hope that our nation would return to one of power in the world, a position we voluntarily abdicated; a nation of leaders, a nation where Obamas’ “take action” bullshit means to kick your ass. I hope we return to a nation of strong defense, not social justice warriors in uniform. I hope we return to a nation of grown ups that march to the sound of the guns, because if not us, it will be some other nation. I hope we realize that there is bad in this world, and it does not go away by ignoring it.

I hope we get to a world where what I want for me means more than what the government wants me to have. I hope I can own my own business without being crushed by regulation, that I can hire who I want and pay what the market will bear, not what the government says. I hope we return, or achieve, a nation where someone doesn’t have to fail by government hand in order that someone else can succeed. I hope that we can get what we work for without having taken and given to those that do not work.

I hope that we examine democrat / socialist / leftist economic and social and governmental policies and finally acknowledge that they are losers, that more money taken from the people won’t make them winners.

I hope that Cher, Streisand, Rosie and the entire cast of the view DO leave the United States for parts unknown and unreachable.

I do not know what Michelle and Barack “hoped” for…..but I hope I never have to be a part of anything like it again.

Chelsea needs to get a "handle" on reality.

I don’t know who this Chelsea Handler woman is.  Until recently (like when I read this article) I had never heard of her, and after researching her I have decided that my life is less full knowing of her existence.  Whatever tree her fruit grew upon, her particular piece fell WAY far from the tree.  Either that, or everybody in her family is a certifiable idiot.  Read this and be amazed that the woman can dress herself in the morning.  Her article is entitled “We have a problem with supporting women” when it should be “we have a problem finding our ass with both hands AS women”.  And before you start ripping me a new rectum, let me take the unpopular opinion that  Camille Paglia, a lesbian liberal, is one of my favorite thinkers and contrarians.

So, according to Handler, the problems with the last election, the big one of course being that Hillary didn’t win and Trump DID is that “94% of black women voted for Hillary Clinton, because unlike white women, black women don’t take their rights, liberties, or justice for granted. They honor how hard people fought for them, and they are fully committed to honoring the very people who risked, and in many cases lost, their lives fighting for ability to count. Really? I missed that poll dissecting why 94% of black women voted for Clinton (which SOUNDS legitimate, but in this article you just can’t be sure).  I had no idea that something just short of 100% of voting black women were concerned with the fragility of democracy.  You can understand my confusion because the media and their own actions would indicate that burning down the local QT and aborting almost all black babies in NYC was more of a concern for 94% of the black women voters…..but hey, all I can say is that from the outside looking in, this sounds like complete bullshit.

Handler just goes south from there.  Obviously she embraces every caricature of the right and Trump as gospel truth, while exalting all liberal talking points.  She clearly is no fan of the Constitution and shows a frightening lack of understanding of the electoral college.  And I get that…..she wants what she wants and thinks what she is going to think what she wants in order to justify the world as she THINKS it should be.  She is open to no debate because like I am towards her, she cannot see an option, and alternative to her despair.

Oh, and of course, after Handler douches out the system, men and white women, and essentially about 80% of what enables her to spew her un-knowing crap, she appeals to women whom APPARENTLY are being treated like Islamic chattel in the US (I missed the memo on how we failed to tolerate the opposite sex), unless you are part of that 97% of black women with the insider track on wisdom, to rise up with other women.

I’ll be honest, the read wore me out…..even for a HUFFPO type piece of trash, this story from Handler required more acceptance of groundless assumptions than a Podesta excuse for a Hillary loss. 

Remember white women; you are the reason that Hillary lost…and you could have done all of us a favor by keeping Chelsea Handler off of societies radar.

I think that I have hit on the reason why so many leftist states are eager to legalize marijuana (ever realize how the medicinal benefits of weed, of which I have no opinion because I have yet to encounter a doobie user claiming that they use for medicinal purposes), or why the leftist government is so hell bent on minimizing illegal drug penalties, despite the resounding proof that THAT crime leads to greater crime. I think that the left is involved in this because at the HIGHEST level, the left is doing some really powerful shit.  When asked if Russian hacking contributed to Hillary’s loss in the election, rather than stick with the ridiculous party line and say “yes”, Obama jumped on the press accusing them of being unfair in their treatment of Hillary.

For any rational, lives in this world, non-idiot person, the story line should have been that the media treated the public, the consumer unfairly in its’ water carrying for Hillary.  FAR from latching hold of the endless stories of corruption, health concerns (which I personally think is bullshit), her divisive screed, her focus on doubling down on failed liberal policies, her use of her positions as senator AND Secretary of State to enrich her, the Clinton foundation and work against the interest of the United States, the media could only exalt this most unqualified of the “most qualified” candidates.  In a page right out of the media worship of Obama, there was nothing negative to be seriously reported on Hillary, no truth worth investigating, yet her loss is partially attributable to the media not treating her fairly.  Even now, when her email server is still an issue, the media is still treating her unfairly.  I guess neither Obama nor Hillary understand that failure and criminality will haunt you for a very, very long time.  

For example, long after Obama leaves office, he will still be considered the worst of all American Presidents.

The Russians made me do it....or maybe the DNC

In March, 1983, Ronald Reagan made his famous “Evil Empire” speech.  Even though I was just finishing up four years of military college, I was just coming into my own as one who is politically aware.  Speaking to a Church heavy audience, and speaking of the aggressiveness of the Soviet Union and the idea of a nuclear freeze between the US and the USSR, Reagan said “I urge you to beware the temptation of pride—the temptation of blithely declaring yourselves above it all and label both sides equally at fault, to ignore the facts of history and the aggressive impulses of an evil empire”.  Reagan was roundly ridiculed in the media for referring to the Soviet Union as an evil empire, but he was telling a truth based on historical accurate FACTS.

But he was roundly ridiculed by the media and the American left.

From 1919 forward the United States has been home to many Soviet, then Russian spies.  And as a note, it is important TO note that the geopolitical goals of the Soviet Union, like all great empires of the era, including its’ predecessor Russia, were unchanged after the Bolsheviks took power.  They wanted the same thing in this world, they simply used utopian sounding communism as a tool, rather than imperial power.  And, since 1919, democrats, liberals, leftists, and modern progressives have had no problem with that.  In its’ heyday, prior to the collapse of the USSR, more than a little communist ugly manifested itself in the US public and government.  Everybody knows of the Joe McCarthy, House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC) and like to poke fun at Joe…..but very few people discuss the fact that the Hiss-Chambers affair showed categorically that McCarthy was correct, communism HAD infiltrated our government, in our state department, in our treasury department, in our UN personnel (THAT one is hard to grasp, I know).  The soviets got the A Bomb and the H Bomb through secrets passed to them from the US.  And remember the Tupelov 144 and its’ eerie similarity to the Concorde?  Does anyone think that the MiG 29 looks like the F-15 besides me?

And remarkably…..the left not only resisted most of these truths like ignoring a September 11 murder of an embassy staff in an Islamic country, they never really were called to task for any of it, for any of their involvement in anti-American activities.  Indeed the left, the democrats stepped up their game to the point where the collapse of the USSR and its’ fellow travelers in the Communist Party of the USA (CPUSA), virtually went un-noticed by the left.  Indeed one former party member, writer and historian, Ron Radosh said of the CPUSA "The positions they take are really indistinguishable from the left-wing social democratic groups (democrats). I don't even know why anyone belongs to it has become "essentially irrelevant".

Yeah, the CPUSA is irrelevant because the democrats have co-opted them…..and let THOSE guys get their asses handed to them in one election and ALL OF A SUDDEN……the Russians are bad guys.  And the hilarious part of this is that if history as we know it, as many of us observed it, is TRUE, and the democrats and the communist party were brothers by different mothers, WHY would their brothers over seas interject in an election to steal the election AWAY from the party of their own philosophy?  If the Russians are responsible for electing Trump……WHY?  Why wasn’t Hillary DELUGED in votes?

And the reason it sounds ridiculous is that it is ridiculous.  And the American left is well aware of that.  They are not after the Presidency, they are after the nation.  And they want to discredit the election process as much as they want the Presidency.  And if they can blame their failure at the polls and what they hope will be their success in the overthrow of the nation, they will blame it on the Russians.

Someone played a great prank on me this week.  About 0100 the door bell rang, setting off the two food operated alert dogs in their crate.  I pulled a .45 from my bedside table and went to the door and saw a glow from out side. I opened the door and there on the porch was a flaming….bag of……..

And I say he is making an effort to discredit America, because Podesta surely knows that the die was cast in November and that Trump WILL take the oath of office in January.  He knows that, unless the case is heard in the ninth circuit, the election was honest (his Baby Jesus – Obama – even said so), and Americans turned out in droves to defeat the anointed Clinton.  But the left is intent on producing a society that is un-governable by normal standards, “un-governable” by anyone but themselves.  They KNOW that they don’t represent the will of normal thinking, decent Americans….they do not care, that is not their intent.  Specifically, Podestas’ intent is to discredit the system, the entire idea of the EC and the Constitution in which if is enshrined.  Discredit the process which prevents the left, as yet, from ruining the nation and remaking it into something we don’t recognize, and if some crap gets spread on Trump, so be it.

This “briefing” to the electors is bullshit.  I have to go to work tomorrow, but I want a briefing first that proves the Cambodians have not hacked my network…..THEN I will decide if I am or am not going to work.

I don’t think that would be well received by my employer.  Just like I don’t think we should receive a like demand from the electors; it isn’t in their job description.  They should do what they were elected to do.

Apparently the new face of legitimate news in the hammering of “fake news” is none other than Lord Fakenroy himself; Brian Williams.  You remember him……he of the RPG attack on the helicopter he was in (we think he was in a helicopter but like the sniper fire on Hillary that wasn’t, we KNOW that Williams was not attacked in a helicopter).  After what NBC considered an acceptable banishment from his role as head of the nightly news, less than most in-patient rehab treatment programs, Williams was relegated to the hinterlands of MSNBC…..the premier cellar dweller of leftist propaganda, where open lying and hyperbole is the order of the day.

Now, this whole fake news movement is astonishing.  It is mostly disturbing in that the media, the founders and developers of fake news are keeping this alive as a reason for the left losing the election.  Now think about this….the media, and the democrats think that FAKE NEWS caused an electoral college landslide, caused record numbers of states to turn red in their state legislatures and governorships.  The media and the democrats (and I do NOT know why I make the distinction) think that YOU the voter are so intellectually stunted that “fake news” fooled you.  You didn’t make your decision based on realities, but on “fake news”.

There are a few remarkable things involved here, and we will continue to use Brian Williams as an example.  One is that the media is SO shameless that they not only tolerate a proven liar, but give him a second chance (albeit a step further down the lying food chain at MSNBC) and FULLY expect the viewer to just believe the shit that he spews.  I can barely get my head around the acorn that the media thinks so little of the consumer that they would continue to give Williams, and people like him, a venue.  Face it, as a former Army aviator and a combat veteran I can assure you that a near miss in flight from and RPG is NOT something on which you “misspeak”.  In the real world, in real news, he would be selling pencils on the street corner.  And nobody comments on this incredible hypocrisy.

But even more amazing is the fact that Williams would be given the platform to decry fake news.  Wouldn’t this be a little like Himmler decrying the death camps?  Allah decrying beheadings?  Jill Stein decrying math?  Face it, real news, where a medium presents the facts and the consumer forms an opinion is as dead as a democrat voter in Chicago, or support for the police by NYC Mayor Deblasio.  “Fake News”, as Harry Reid has said (and it may likely be the only honest thing Reid has said in the past four years) is owned by the democrats.  Social media has made it easy for almost anybody with a computer and smart phone to make up some crazy shit, post it on FB and Youtube, send it viral and it is every bit as believable as something REAL that actually happened.  Use for example the notion that the Russians hacked the US election and are responsible for putting Trump in the oval office.  Sounds crazy right, and there is no evidence that Russians hacked the non-networked voting machines in question.  What IS a fact is that voter fraud is part and parcel of the modern democrat party, and BECAUSE of that (and maybe a host of questionable dealings between the Clintons and the Russians), the consumer has to spend time parsing through what they saw on Youtube, or read on FB, and compare it with what they see in the NYT and Time and the Chicago Trib and Huffpo and a host of other sources.  The legacy media is no longer THE source for news but for many it is merely A source, a source that is no more sound than some craziness on the internet.  And Reid is right; the democrats, and their propaganda arm the main stream media, own that….because their stories and their reportage is often no better than occupydemocrat.com.  Nobody can tell what is or is not “fake news”.

Though, if you have Brian Williams reporting it, chances are it is NOT real news.

Is this a great nation or WHAT?

Last week, when John Glenn died, I eulogized briefly on a man who was truly an American hero, and I was forgiving him for being a democrat because I am convinced that, as a man of ideals, he joined the democrats before they were out of the closet as a group of mentally disturbed, anti-American free loaders…..he basically joined his fathers democratic party. 

But, when I contrast him with another long serving senator, who is reportedly a republican, in which case I would credit him with a smattering of intelligence, John McCain.  And when I make that comparison and contrast I want to say aloud “hey John…..what is the fucking deal?  Are you on Americas’ team or who?”

McCains’ latest is his position that he and his bi-partisan coalition WILL get to the bottom of this Russian hacking of the election of November 2016.  Now, between us girls, this whole thing is a smoke screen, for what I don’t know.  But here is a laundry list of shit that you can discard.

          Clinton won the popular vote.  Great, and that WOULD be great if she were running for fraternity President, but the LAW…..the law is that the electoral college elects the President. You remember the college right?  Think of the electoral college as the Senate and the House…..all of which (allegedly) vote as “representative” bodies.  In truth, the vast quantity of people and states do not WANT to be like the giant welfare state of New York.

          The Russians hacked our election.  This is bullshit.  Okay, might not be bullshit, but it is irrelevant…..and since the Russians have never been real concerned with elections, the chances are great that the democrats hacked the system.  This is a no blood, no foul event and IF the Russians or anyone did anything, our government is to blame and nothing will happen as a result.  There is NO chance that the democrats want to draw attention to a flaw in the voting system of this nation since they themselves are responsible for most of it.

          The lefts drive to discredit the election and disrupt the results are understandable; they are the left, it is what they do….they are dedicated to Americas’ failure.

So the question stands….what is McCains’ deal?  We like to think of him as a hero, but if you look too closely at him his past is full of not a lot of heroic shit and enough innuendo of non-heroic shit to make John Kerry blush.  And he is senior enough that he can train wreck a lot of stuff in the senate (he could be the GOP version of Harry Reid)…….so why does he buy into this shit?  He is at a great point in life to just get on board with the program….it isn’t like he is doing any GOOD, or has plans to do any real good (unless it involves selling out to the left).  So what is his problem?

McCain needs to retire.  He has had enough of an opportunity to do good for the nation as a senator, and he has demurred.  He needs to make room for someone who is up to the challenge of doing good…..give up the perks of being a senator. 

Nobody will blame him.

So, last night I wrote on what I termed Tucker Carlsons' interview with Erin Schrode, a twenty something social justice warrior from California who was offended at Trump being named Man of the Year, AND comparing him to Hitler, AND expressing outrage at his appointment of the Oklahoma Attorney General as the chief of the EPA . Specifically she was speechless (actually we wish she was speechless) that this appointee was an oil guy (go figure...an oil guy......from Oklahoma), a climate denier and had actually sued the EPA over burdensome regulations (along with 27 other states). Remember.....only people like Erin are right, there is no middle ground.

On a hunch I went to her FB page today and among her fellow travelers in the land of the perpetually irrelevant there were some that thought she had hit a home run in her battle with Carlson. Then the thread turned ugly and the people with two brain cells piled on and started handing her her useless ass (me included). She was basically called out for being the fool she showed herself to be

And I would leave her this thought......after almost a decade of BILLIONS being pumped into alternative energy sources, this magical energy industry which is going to make us a leader in the war on ISIS.......We still heat our homes with coal fired electricity, natural and propane gas, etc. Life in her world is going to get old quickly....cold, hungry......and still in the dark.

Help! The world is on fire!!!!

I officially deny climate change....now call the fire department.

Riddle me this……..there is a small town…..just a few people remaining out of as many as 5000 in 1962 in Centralia, Pennsylvania. It was once a coal mining town until a controlled burn of the local dump set fire to a vein of anthracite coal. There are now seven people living in the town, all property of the town having been taken through imminent domain, and all buildings save for the seven homes destroyed by the fire below, which occasionally breaks through to the surface. All services are provided by the state and county and there is no nothing in Centralia. In Centralia, an accident 54 years ago set fire to a planet, the center of which IS fire.

And it still burns today. Over HALF of the worlds supply of anthracite coal comes from that region and that fire will burn until it runs out of fuel. All efforts, private and government, to extinguish the fire have failed, and it continues to spread and consume everything along the anthracite veins under the surface.

This week Leonardo di Caprio and Al Gore both visited the President elect. Lenny gave the President elect a copy of his almost unseen movie on man made climate change, and who knows what the hell Al Gore, whose work in the field of man made climate change has been roundly debunked by science, did while he was at Trump Tower. I am sure it was worth the cost of the admission. This week Tucker Carlson also handed a California Social Justice Warrior her uneducated ass in a televised discussion that included the appointment of the Oklahoma Attorney General, a vocal climate change “denier”, to head the EPA. THAT conversation proved that once again the area of Climate Change Science is the ONLY field of science where actual science does not matter (well, perhaps we can include abortion).

And I have a hard time taking this shit seriously. Assuming that man made climate change WAS a real thing and it WAS an existential threat (unlike the existential threats that actually DO face the US), why should we POSSIBLY think we could impact the issue in any meaningful way, when we cannot put out a half century old fire in our own back yard?

It makes no sense.

But none of it does.
