Now, I say good for them….they have worked hard, taxed hard, gone all in crazy countless times…..and they deserve every bad thing they get….I salute them.

As I have said, I know people in California.  I know some financially secure people in the northern part of the state, that stay for the love of the location, who freely admit that, until the state shows up to take ALL of their money to give to someone else, or some dicked up cause, they will stay because they can afford to stay.  I know some from the southern part of the state that would flee yesterday if they could afford to do so, but the state DOES get enough of their money that they are trapped in the cesspool.  I do not for a MINUTE think your rank and file Californian is any more a turd than a rank and file Chicagoan (and if you understand that, you are too smart to be reading this).  I think that there are a LOT of Californians that are trapped by a shitty government and in that respect, California should be a forewarning, a foreshadowing, an indicator of what a government out of control will do when it doesn’t care about its’ subjects.

What I am writing here is anecdotal, not because I am making it up, but because I can’t document it.

I shared a crappy, coach seat flight with, of all things, an environmental engineer, about three years ago.  If I believed the things HE spoke of (and I do because TRUST ME, I lose no sleep over this sort of thing), this nation has THE cleanest air of any industrial nation on the planet….THE cleanest.  Every EPA regulation or left wing green at all cost idea, MAY improve the air quality and the pollutants expelled from power and other plants, infinitesimally.  I know that the left hates the notion, but it is true; to get to the absolute zero effect desired by the left, the energy production stops….it IS a zero sum game.  Yet California continues to tax its’ people and destroy its’ industries and the ability for industry to do business with layers upon layers of regulation, that essentially do nothing for the air quality of Californians.  The US has the cleanest air, California has among the worst air of the states, and spends more than the other states for no discernible benefit.  It is, after all, just money; other peoples’ money.

Twelve years ago the United States spent over half a trillion dollars in tax payer money on services to illegal aliens.  This included schools, welfare, food stamps, public defenders (a lot of them), jail services (a lot of those), state funded scholarships to colleges, and health care, among other pay outs.  This study was conducted by the nations leading expert on immigration law and its’ effects.  This half a trillion dollar cost does not include the cost of law enforcement of immigration law, which is virtually non-existent in California.  These are dollars taken from legal, tax paying citizens, in social welfare and life support payments, of which the leading experts on the LAW, not ways to get around it, but in the LAW, that benefit the US and the investment of the taxpayers absolutely none at all.  California is THE leading state in breaking and failure to enforce, existing federal immigration laws, and thus the leading consumer of that half a trillion dollars.  Sadly, that money comes from tax payers throughout the nation……we in Kansas, Georgia, Alabama, Montana…..WE pay for California to break the law.  And yet, staring at this fiscal dumpster fire, California not only supports but reinforces the illegality; it is who they are.

California is one of the top three US states teetering on a statewide bankruptcy if the state were left to its’ own fund raising devices.  Along with New York and New Jersey, California could take every dime in real money and productivity of every citizen and every corporation within its’ state borders and not come close to meeting its’ annual fiscal obligations….obligations the state has levied upon itself.  There is virtually NO state, county or local municipality that can not levy a separate tax on the citizens within its’ boundary….that is a very long and detailed list of taxing authroities.  California can literally not support itself and it does not seem to care.

Now, the latest issue to sweep thru California is a combination of homelessness and the homeless invading established communities, public defecation, open drug use and rampant crime……but that doesn’t seem to bother the state legislature or the governor, at all.  As you can see in the story at the last link above, California law makers are far more concerned about plastic flatware and its’ impact on the environment than they are in any of their self-inflicted gunshot wounds.

I am going to say that California is a failed state; it has courted failure in the name of every out of the box, failed policy and procedure, it has identified itself with every anti-American, anti-family, statist policy known to political science, it has embraced the myth of multi-culturalism and a one world vision that destroys civilizations, it has enslaved their people to a criminal state government and it deserves everything that it gets.

I repeat…….there are some good people in California….but none of them are apparently in the state government.
